                                ... Where have I been?!

Did you think that I died?  Well, almost, but not quite.  So just when I thought that my days of hectic business were over... they weren't.  First my church started a fundraiser called the 20-20-20 project.  This is how it worked: you signed up to get $20.00 from the church, then you had 20 days to make an additional $20.00 with that money.  That meant you had to bring back $40.00  You were supposed to spend the money on something to sell...  So they asked me to make a CD (I write and perform my own songs.  I even accompany myself, though not quite to my satisfaction).  I did, and I wanted them to look professional so I made a cover design and printed CD labels and everything, plus I had to make the recordings... took absolutely forever.  Aside from that we were still working on my room - two full months living in my brother's room was so not fun, but we both survived (he was on my parent's floor). I love how it turned out!  I could lay and stare at it for hours.  Oh - I am still waiting on the nightstand that I ordered. Anyway, I have pictures of both if you want to see!

Okay, from left to right: y brother Brian (he's the youngest), myself, Brian's best friend Grant (who practically lives at our house every Sunday) and my Dad - the mature one trying to give me bunny ears... It's not the best before picture, but it does show you the room's theme - Beauty and the Beast... I was ten the last time we did my room and since they didn't have any Jasmine stuff (this was before the time of the Disney Princess collection you know - back when only main characters got merchandise) this was the next most recent Disney heroine...  Since then I've been very glad that I could only get Belle stuff because they make some very nice, elegant, mature decorations for Beauty and the Beast - not so much for Aladdin...

From peeling off wallpaper (and dang that was good and stuck on there, but we eventually found a way to get it to peel off in nice sheets and then it went by so fast...), to scraping the "popcorn" off the ceiling, to painting and then sponge painting the room... and did I mention that we redid the texture on the walls too - plus texturized the ceiling to match... it was a lot of hard work and most of it (aside from the part where Dad ripped out a wall and half the ceiling that were water damaged - which is why we took on this mad project in the first place -) I did all by my lonesome... not fun, but it was worth it.

Pretty busy room huh? The two black and white Inuyasha pictures are a charcoal and pencil drawing that my brother made for me in Art in High School.  The two early 1900 hats my friend and I made for a play I was in.  Yes, I have many and varied interests and I collect all sorts of things (including unsharpened, pretty and unique pencils... -_-U Yes, I am weird.) I've got 23 years worth of stuff in an itty bitty room... I need an apartment!  Too bad I'm poor... most of my anime stuff is behind the furniture, I'm thinking of hanging it on the ceiling.

Ah yes!  And a picture of my CD cover...

See, I'm much cuter than my Jedi costume pictures implied...

Anyway, I'm glad to have them both done and hopefully I can do some writing and site updating now!  I'm dying to do some concept art for some of my original series too...

Hopefully I'll be able to get back to my Questions on Christianity drabbling soon... I don't want to do a half job of it, I want it to make sense.
